A. Nationality

Only Indians and Nepalese people can apply for this post. this is often one among the first eligibility criteria for the Indian Air Force Recruitment. Candidates should be keeping this criterion in mind while applying for armed forces.

B. Age Limit

·         Minimum Age – 18 years

·         Maximum Age – 21 years

Note: Candidates sharing their Date Of Birth from 17th January 2000 to 30th December 2003 are eligible.

C. Educational Qualification

Group X (Except Education Instructor Trade)

·         Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR
Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering in any stream. The candidate should have completed the course from a Government recognized polytechnic with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in diploma (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English isn’t a topic in Diploma Course).

Group Y {Except Automobile Technician, Indian Air Force (Police), Indian Air Force (Security) Medical Assistant and Musician Trades}

·         Candidates who have passed their Intermediate (10+2) Level Exam with Minimum 50% marks & scored minimum 50% marks in English OR having passed 2 years Vocational Course through with 50% marks & scored minimum 50% marks in English are getting to be considered for this post.

Group Y Medical Assistant Trade only

·          Passed 10+2/Intermediate/ equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.


1.    Candidate eligible for Group ‘X’ examination (on the idea of intermediate/10+2) also are eligible for Group Y and would tend an option of appearing in both group X and Group Y exam in one sitting while filling up the web registration form.

2.    Diploma holders are eligible to seem for Group X trades only.

3.    Education Boards listed within the Council of Boards for the college Education (COBSE) website as members, as on date of registration shall only be considered.

4.    Exact aggregate Percentage of marks before decimal as written within the marks sheet of 10+2/ Intermediate/ Equivalent Examination/Three years Diploma Course OR calculated as per the principles of concerned Education Board/Polytechnic Institute shall only be considered (For example 59.99% should be taken as 59% and not be rounded off to 60%).
